Hey! Love your blog! I am starting a blog dedicated to Rooney Mara and I was wondering if you could give me some tips. how did you make this blog so successful? how did you get that picture of emma where it says "fuckyeahemmastone the original"? how did you get your blog to come up when you google emma stone tumblr? any help would be appreciated thank you!!
Hey there!
To be perfectly honest, I didn’t really do much. I started out back in March 2010 by uploading and reblog a lot of pictures the first few days so that there would be a good mix of pictures for new people to see when they browsed the blog. Also, tagging the pictures turned out to be a GREAT way of getting a lot of new followers. I know some people also adds their own tumblr address in the click-through field when reblogging as well. I don’t do that though. I concider that cheating.
Keep track of your searches (click the “track”-button after you’ve made your search) and tumblr will tell you when there are new posts for you to reblog.
I “made” that picture in Photoshop, and by made i mean I added the text. I can help you with that if you decide to start your own fan tumblr some day! :)
I didn’t have to do anything to make it pop up on Google. Google indexes every webpage out there and sorts them automatically. The more popular and faster pages are always displayed first. It takes a LOT of time (months) to make your blog pop up that high on Google or any other search engine for that matter.
Stay active! Answer the messages and question that you get. Keep track of the person that your tumblr will me about. New movie releases, albums, appearances and so on.
Ask for submissions! There are a lot of extraordinary artists out there who might be interested in getting their art posted/reblogged. Just take a look at this!
Use the queue! Don’t post too often from the queue so that it will run out.
Ask for help (add members that you trust to your site) if you feel that it starts to take up too much of your time.
Hope this helps! You’re always welcome to ask more questions if you have any! Good luck! :)
